Beard Dandruff

Beard dandruff can appear as white flakes, greasy scales, itching, redness, burning, rough texture, or recurring irritation under the facial hair. It may be linked with seborrheic dermatitis, Malassezia imbalance, dry skin, product buildup, beard oils, shaving irritation, sweat, humidity, or disruption around the facial hair follicles. In Demodex-related beard concerns, dandruff may appear with itching, crawling or tickling sensations, follicle bumps, redness, oily buildup, flaky skin under the beard, or irritation that does not behave like ordinary dry skin. Because Demodex mites can live around facial hair follicles and oil glands, persistent beard dandruff may overlap with follicle irritation, seb derm patterns, and chronic skin sensitivity under the beard. This section explains how beard dandruff may connect with Demodex, seb derm, beard flakes, and recurring facial hair irritation.
