Facial seb derm, also called facial seborrheic dermatitis, is commonly associated with redness, flaking, greasy scales, itching, burning, sensitivity, and recurring irritation in oil-rich areas of the face. It often appears around the nose, eyebrows, forehead, hairline, beard area, ears, and folds of the face. While facial seb derm is often linked with Malassezia yeast imbalance, sebum changes, stress, humidity, product irritation, and skin barrier disruption, some recurring facial patterns may also overlap with Demodex-related skin concerns because Demodex mites live around hair follicles and oil glands. This section explains how facial seb derm may connect with Demodex, Malassezia imbalance, facial flaking, eyebrow dandruff, redness, and chronic skin sensitivity patterns.
