Nasolabial Redness

Nasolabial redness refers to redness, irritation, flaking, sensitivity, or greasy buildup in the folds that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth. This oil-rich area is commonly affected by facial seb derm, seborrheic dermatitis, Malassezia imbalance, product irritation, barrier disruption, and recurring facial inflammation. In Demodex-related facial concerns, nasolabial redness may appear with itching, rough texture, oily buildup, burning, sensitivity, bumps, flushing, or irritation that does not behave like ordinary dry skin. Because Demodex mites live around hair follicles and oil glands, persistent redness around the nose may overlap with seb derm patterns, follicle irritation, and chronic facial skin sensitivity. This section explains how nasolabial redness may connect with Demodex, seb derm, facial flaking, and recurring irritation around the nose folds.
