Chalazion

A chalazion is a firm eyelid lump that can develop when a meibomian oil gland becomes blocked and inflamed. Unlike a stye, which is often more tender and acute, a chalazion may feel deeper, slower-growing, and less painful, but it can keep coming back when the eyelid environment remains irritated. In Demodex blepharitis, lash-line buildup, collarettes, cylindrical dandruff, dry eye symptoms, redness, itchy eyelids, and chronic lid margin inflammation may contribute to gland congestion and recurring eyelid lumps. This section explains how chalazion concerns may connect with Demodex-related eyelid irritation and what lash-line clues to look for.
