Hair Loss

Hair loss can be influenced by many factors, including genetics, hormones, stress, nutritional deficiencies, inflammation, scalp buildup, seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis, product irritation, or disrupted scalp barrier function. In Demodex-related scalp concerns, hair loss may appear with itching, crawling or tickling sensations, scalp tenderness, redness, flaking, oiliness, follicle bumps, buildup around the follicles, or recurring irritation that does not behave like ordinary dandruff. Because Demodex mites live around hair follicles and oil glands, chronic follicle stress and scalp inflammation may contribute to an unhealthy scalp environment where hair becomes weaker, thinner, or more prone to shedding. This section explains how hair loss may connect with Demodex, scalp inflammation, and recurring follicle irritation patterns.
